Health and Special Access Reasons

Last updated July 2017

Each year I come across unfortunate situations where parents who often have powerful reasons for their children being placed in particular schools, fail to put their case effectively on the application form. Two very precise pieces of advice:

1)  Check with Kent County Council and the School what information is required.

2)Make sure you attach the relevant documentation with your application form. This MUST include medical or social care evidence if this is applicable.  Without such evidince, there is little likelihood of success. Do not complete an  application and hope the Admission Authority will come back to you to request the data. They rarely do and are under no obligation to do so.

If you have followed this advice, but are unsuccessful in your application, you may stand a stronger chance at appeal.
